What is an Attendance Calculator?

Calculates current attendance percentage and exactly how many classes you can miss (or must attend) to stay above the required threshold.

How It Works

Attendance% = (Attended / Total held) x 100. Classes you can miss = floor((Attended - 0.75 x Total) / 0.75).

Example

Attended 55 of 80 classes = 68.75%. Target 75% of 80 = 60. With 20 more classes, must attend at least 17 to reach exactly 75%.

Pro Tips
  • UGC mandates 75% minimum; many colleges require 80-85%. Check your institution policy.
  • Missing one class when exactly at the threshold drops you below - track in real time.
  • Medical certificates can qualify for attendance condonation with proper documentation.
  • Proxy attendance is a serious disciplinary offence at most Indian universities.
